Membership Information
Applicant
We encourage all OMSs practicing in California to become a member of CALAOMS. Use the link below to create your online Applicant account and submit a Membership application. Once complete, your application will go through the approval process, and a CALAOMS staff member will keep you apprised each step of the way. Please do not apply for membership as an Applicant unless you have completed your OMS Residency.
CALAOMS Membership Benefits include:
- Continuing education courses for oral and maxillofacial surgeons and their staff on:
- Anesthesia
- Medical Emergencies
- Risk Management
- Practice Management
- Oral Surgery Assistants Course
- Updates on current issues that affect practices and the OMS specialty
- Advocating on behalf of OMS specialty in the California legislature
- Supporting political candidates that champion better healthcare and safety for the public through the CALSAOMS Political Actions Committee
- Access to the Classified career portal, an employment resource accessible through the CALAOMS website that provides assistance in purchasing or selling a practice, finding an associate, and personal employment opportunities
- Access to a website that allows members to be informed of upcoming events, Standing Rules, Bylaws, Membership and other timely information
Resident
Benefits of Resident Membership
- No dues required while you are a resident.
- You may attend CALAOMS meetings at no charge or at a reduced rate.
- Resident Members who apply for regular CALAOMS membership after completing residency do not pay the $250 application fee.
- Resident Members qualify for reduced CALAOMS membership due in their first two years of regular membership.
